Job Description – EO Forum Trainer
A Forum Trainer is a Forum specialist with deep knowledge and experience in Forums and has the passion and skills to teach Forum to new members and help existing forums to grow and deepen their Forum experience. A full description of the qualifications, skill sets, responsibilities, expectations, and time commitment are provided below.
QUALIFICATION
Has been in EO Forum for 5 or more years.
Has served as a Forum Moderator for at least 1 year.
Has attended Moderator Training and Forum Workshops to ensure familiarity with the latest Forum practices and techniques.
Is fluent in English (Additional language requirements may be specified based on regional training needs).
Additional desired qualifications may include:
Has seed-moderated a minimum of 2 EO Forums (preferred).
Has teaching and facilitation experience.
Has experience in Chapter, Regional, or global EO leadership.
It is preferred that the applicant be focused on Forum and not be a part of any other training/facilitation/leadership role within EO.
Experience and knowledge of EO products such as Executive Education, Powerhouse Series, RLAs, Universities, etc.
Comfortable with technology for an in-person event, including projector, connections, screen set up, and audio equipment.
Comfortable with technology for a virtual event, including the use of Zoom with access to a dedicated quiet space, high-speed internet, and a computer with a camera.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach Forum to new EO members, SLP, and Key Executives during an 8-hour training, either virtually or in person.
Monitor the registrants in the scheduling tool and encourage Chapter Managers to register their participants.
Ensure members are registered at the start of the program and check off the names of only those participants who attended the entirety of the training.
Coordinate printing and delivery of materials for in-person training and send electronic files to all attendees for virtual training.
Collaborate with Chapter Managers to determine timing, location, and meal arrangements.
Complete attendance report in the scheduling tool within 2 days of training completion.
Invite the Forum Chair to welcome new members at the beginning of the day or attend lunch and discuss the forum placement process with the new members.
Share information with the Chapter Manager and Chapter Forum Chair if concerns about a member arise after training.
Distribute evaluations and encourage honest completion.
Provide appropriate Forum resources to chapter Forums for Forum growth and health.
EXPECTATIONS
Deliver Forum Trainings
a. Adhere to the brand, solicitation, travel, financial, and minimum/maximum requirements as outlined in the EO Trainer Agreement.
b. Adhere to the training content and delivery methods, and maintain a facilitator rating score higher than 8.0 (out of 10).Maintain Certification
a. Complete initial training and agree to maintain certification annually (via in-person and/or virtual trainings).
b. Sign the EO Trainer Agreement annually.EO & Product Ambassador
a. Align with EO’s mission, ambition, purpose, values, and strategic direction.
b. Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable on the current organizational priorities and language.Communication
a. Maintain regular communication with the EO Forum Team and chapter leadership.Travel
a. Be able to travel, including under special circumstances where travel may be out of region.
TIME COMMITMENT
This is a long-term role. Most trainers stay in the role for several years and become trained to deliver other Forum products, such as Forum Workshops, Moderator Training, Forum Next Level, Moderator Workshop Series, and Moderator Summits.
For the Forum Trainer Certification:
You must be available to observe at least 2 virtual or in-person FTPs.
You must be available for a week to attend the in-person Forum Trainer Certification Program.
After Certification:
Attend quarterly calls with other Forum Trainers.
Attend a 4-5-day, in-person Train-the-Trainer session held biennially.
Be available for offline/online trainings for at least 10 trainings per year.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
Forum Trainer candidates are responsible for paying a registration fee (as determined by EO) and covering all travel and hotel expenses during the certification process, including a 4-day classroom training at a location specified by EO and an observation period.
Forum Trainers pay for travel and hotel during the Train-the-Trainer (a partial stipend is sometimes offered but not guaranteed).
FORUM TRAINER COMPENSATION
Forum Trainers are paid US$1500 for each Forum Training completed after final certification.
FORUM TRAINER CERTIFICATION PROCESS
The Forum Trainer certification process is rigorous and requires commitment and enthusiasm.
Online Application: Interested candidates must fill out an online application expressing their desire to be a Forum Facilitator.
Submission of Training Videos: Prospective candidates will be requested to record and submit videos on Forum training topics.
Interview: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by a selection panel where they will have an opportunity to further demonstrate their intent, capabilities, and potential. Those shortlisted will be invited to attend the in-person 4-day training program.
Candidate Preparation: Prospective candidates are provided with material to read in preparation for the training. They will be requested to shadow Forum training and record observations.
Facilitator Training: Prospective candidates must attend a 4-day Forum Facilitator Certification Program (FFCP). This session provides both the opportunity to learn, demonstrate their facilitation skills, and be observed as they work in the facilitator role.
Written Exam: A thorough knowledge of the Forum Training Program content and the theory supporting Forum must be demonstrated on a written exam with a final mark of no lower than 80%.
Detailed Lesson Plan: Within 2 weeks following the FFCP, the prospective candidate must submit a detailed lesson plan outlining their agenda, content, and method of delivery for the Forum Training Program. If the plan is not submitted by this deadline, the candidate’s progress through the certification process will be halted and reviewed.
Candidate Observation: Prospective candidates are observed as they conduct their first 2 Forum Training Programs with Mentor Trainers. Feedback is shared in a debriefing meeting, after which the decision is made to either certify the candidate or require further demonstration of skills.
Certification: Certifying Forum Trainers will report to EO with recommendations for candidate certification.
